Retrieving External Mail


You can view your Email inbox directly from RealClearContacts and assign messages to contacts.

Step 1 - Go to the Settings Area

Select Settings from the main menu and then Edit your user profile.

Step 2 - Email POP parameters

Enter your Email address, mail server and password from your current Email system. Make sure these are the POP3 settings.

Step 3 - Check your Email

Select Activities from the main menu, and then Check Email.

Step 4 - Viewing your messages

Messages from your inbox are displayed. If the from address of a message matches an existing customer or contact, an icon is shown next to it.

  • To assign any message to a customer or contact, click the View link.

Step 5 - Assigning Messages

You can move, or assign, a message to an existing customer or contact by selecting Save as activity.

  • If a matching Email address was not found, you can select from a drop-down list of all your contacts
  • If a matching Email address was found, that company's or persons name is displayed
