Editing and Email


A contact is a person you interact with.  Sometimes the contact is an employee or owner of a company.  In either case, you can manage their information.

Step 1 - Select the Contact

From the contact screen, click on Edit this contact.

  • Sometimes the contact works for, or is the owner of a company; sometimes not.  In this screenview, the contact, Susan Kalengray is linked to the company Renaissance Printing Ltd.

Step 2 - Edit Contact Information

Change the contact's telephone numbers and Email from this screen.

  • In this example, the contact works for the company Renaissance Printing Ltd.
  • Edit the company information from this screen.
  • Also, you can delete the contact by clicking on the link. 

Step 3 - Send an Email

Whenever you see an Email address for a contact, you can click on it to call up your Email client (i.e. Outlook, Thunderbird, ...).  Or, you can click Send an Email ... to send an Email directly from RealClearContacts.

  • After sending an Email, you have the option to save it as an activity.   

Step 4 - Compose the Message

This screen lets you send an Email as you would normally with your Email client.

  • The From field is already filled in with your user info that was entered in the settings area.
  • The To field is taken from the contact's Email.
  • You can also Add Attachments
